Founded in 1989, Boxfresh is known as ‘The Original British Streetwear Brand’, with its roots in the UK music scene and street culture. The name Boxfresh derives from early New York / hip-hop terminology for a pair of trainers being literally "fresh out the box". Today the brand has a wide collection of footwear and clothing, having started out in the market stalls of East London with customised Tee shirts, sweats and jackets. Boxfresh frequently collaborates with artists on tee-shirt designs, including the illustrator Pete Fowler.
