LA fitness is a mid-priced gym chain with 83 clubs and over a quarter of a million members all over the UK.
All their gyms, bar two, have a swimming pool. All have a fully equipped gym floor with all the usual cardiovascular machines & weights and all offer various studio classes. Some clubs have additional services such as a steam room , sauna, beauty treatment areas, creche’s, cafes. A handful of clubs (mostly outside of London) have tennis and/or squash courts.
As well as all the facilities on offer, there also have a more personal service approach, focusing on a programme they run called ‘kick start’ that helps members form a full workout plan suited to them in the first 6-8 weeks of joining, plus health & diet advice/ health checks. As part of ‘kick start’ they also offer incentives to attend the gym regularly – such as joining fee’s refunded if you attend 3 times a week for the first 8 weeks.
